I do not know why you ask this question, it is a loaded question which doesn't hold water.

Of course anyone who is personally affected by gun violence will have a different view than they held before they were affected.

This discussion should remain on a more adult bases of what to do about gun violence and what is causing the majority of it. For every 1 mass shooting, there are dozens of single, double and triple shootings which lead to more killings than these mass shootings.

The problem is, these smaller body count shootings are almost always caused by poverty related issues. Street gangs are poverty related issues. Most relationships end due to economic issues or there not being enough money in the relationship... Most times a factory worker, or other low wage worker who is worked too hard, comes home to a uncleaned house/wife in bed with another man/ or something that sets them off.

When ever you look at any social decay, the economy is at the center of it.

I wonder Why Certain people don't rally cry about the Amount of children Killed by Drunk drivers, Killed by abusive parents , killed by people Driving over the posted speed limits, killed by Drug Overdoses,

Death of any child is Senseless , Yet I fail to see such Fervor of the death of children by those causes I posted above. especially when All I posted take more children's lives , some by as much as ten fold.

I find it interesting how People ignore things that do not fit the socialistic mentality or way of life.

Andrew, I knew you would try to bullshit your way through answering my question. so let me give you another chance to think about it and you can try again.

Would you feel the same way about guns and the never ending gun violence if it was your 14 year old son and your father who was killed in Kansas City by a GUNMAN. Or, what about the Newtown killing of innocent children, would you feel the same way of your child was killed in those killings. What about Colorado how would you feel if you daughter was out with her girlfriends for a night at the movies."

Please don't try to skirt around an answer, would you feel the way you do if any one of those 3 incidents effected one of your children being murdered in a senseless act of gun violence.

As far as your feelings towards law enforcement I hope you're trying to make the rest of the SLS membership think your a braggart and some of the things your saying are just that a lot of hot air. Please tell me and the others reading this that you are not advocating killing law enforcement or any one because you've labeled them a threat.

rdy2playwu,

"You seem to want to see anyone kill Law Enforcement officers and I don't know why. Maybe if you would think about the gun violence, you would be able to understand how it's killing our society. Now I know you will rant and rave, but I know you will not answer the question truthfully."

Because cops are scum! They're nothing but bullies with a badge, and this is an opinion I've only come around to in the last 10 years. It used to be true that there were just a minority of bad cops. Since the retirement of the baby boomers, that has changed. Now the active bullies are the majority of cops, and the so called "good cops" who don't personally take part in thuggish behavior toward the people they are supposed to protect and serve will lie shamelessly to to protect the cops who do.

Interesting question. You ask me about a KKK dumbass who went out to hunt jews, and ended up killing a Catholic and two Methodists.

Here we go, really not trying to take it off topic, but you fuckin asked.

The Aurora shooter was a mind controlled zombie who had a glitch in his programming which is why he failed to off himself and just stood there waiting for the cops after he killed those people with the most popular hunting shotgun in America after his crappy 100 round AR magazine jammed, which they are prone to do, I've heard.

Adam Lanza is every bit as much of a victim as the children he allegedly murdered, which is why the surveilance camera footage from inside the school is sitting in a DHS vault, and will never be released. Never mind the 911 calls, which were released by the local authorities, in which multiple witnesses inside the building reported 3 shooters. But we're still supposed to believe that a depressed little boy who was so severely autistic that he had to have the labels removed from his clothes because of oversensitivity pulled off a spectacular mass killing while firing dozens of shots from a rifle INSIDE a building. Veterans who know a little about urban combat, as I do,, may find that difficult to believe.

In the latter 2 cases, I'd like to see the government spooks who set it up be killed by slowly flaying the skin from their bodies. In the Kansas case I wouldn't ever be so profoundly moved by emotion that I'd want to see millions of American gun owners disarmed over the action of a racist nutjob, even if my daughter had been one of his victims. BTW my 14 year old daughter keeps a Ruger 10/22 in her bedroom loaded with a 25 round magazine, which is legal in the state of Ohio, so don't get your panties in a bunch over it.

sexy:

The teachers unions are not the ones who have expanded the problems we have with bullies. It has been the voters who elect the school board members and justice system, which doesn't allow the school principles to expel the bad students.

Teachers use to send the bullies to the principles office, the principles would send them back to their classrooms and verbally reprimand the teacher for wasting their time.

Why? Because the voters believe that the bully isn't their child, it is someone else. Or when the parent does believe it, they make the excuse that they do not have time to correct the problem. That they must work two jobs, that the boy's biological donor is a dead beat and doesn't help with anything... ect.

Any fix to the school system, must be done by a dictator, telling the parents that for their child to attend school, their child must meet (insert requirements of behavior.) This is counter to a democracy or republic, where by the people vote the leaders into office and the leaders do the peoples bidding.

Your math question is funny and doesn't account for other varriables such as a change in the law. So assuming that all things remain static, then no. A minimum wage employee will never pay back a 80k loan with 8% interest with the minimum wage... Because living day to day cost almost 100% of the minimum wage that earner receives. Thus the need for the social safety net.

Don't worry, with so many of my generation facing this very problem, you can rest assured that we will not make this a static problem, but rather when the bubble breaks, the government will apply the same principles of bankrupcy in the student loans as with other loans for a house, or business.

Thus enabling the students to escape the debt by declaring a form of bankrupcy. This is why I had waited to return to college, after I had failed in my first career. To pay off all my debts and to start fresh without debt and have savings enough for emergencies such as needing a new car. (mine had died during the winter break.)

Nah , I can pop a single action for @ 3200. I have almost 4k into an AR, but I drive tacks at @ 400 yds, and I use that to play cards with friends by plunking a card stapled to a board in the distance.

Nothing Says relaxation like driving a piece of led into 12" X 12" target you can barely make out with the naked eye.

I don't question why people find the need to golf, I mean if one wants to ask about a harmful sport, have you ever thought about the amount of water is needed to maintain a gold course let alone the chemicals leaching into the ground water around them?

Not been into guns for a long while really but most of those are over $7k (guessing). You really like shooting long distance.
