Sometimes something happens. Something that makes the lame-duck do-nothing Congress attempt to do something, like raise taxes on the very-richest Americans who have benefited in all the right ways from exploiting anything and everything to gain wealth, including no-bid contracts to rebuild Afghanistan and Iraq. When you're the one who holds the majority party gavel, the invasion of your office by citizens is an inconvenience you can avoid by having Capitol security surround your enclave, right? Seven naked protesters swarmed the office of Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) on Tuesday for some 20 minutes of loud chanting against cuts to AIDS funding… After police showed up and repeatedly threatened to arrest the protesters for indecent exposure, they eventually put on their clothes and walked out of the Speaker’s office. The three female protesters stuck around in the hallway to speak to reporters and were arrested anyway; the four male protesters appeared to get away, the organizers said. Those citizens protesting the funding cuts were, of course, arrested. 'Liberty' goes to jail, a place owned and operated by the Republic-thugs who continue to fund and support Boehner's agenda to cut federal programs and maintain tax cuts for the richest expatriates with off-shore tax havens. Boehner's shoes must be quacking.
