User Details are only visible to members.	"I want a class 3 FFL to own one." 1st step in confiscation and banning them. To get a C3, FFL you waver your 4A rights. People like you will have a list of everyone who has a C3. And have no knock ability to search.

User Details are only visible to members.	the FBI report I'm seeing has the category "Blunt objects (clubs, hammers, etc.)" There's no other category that would include baseball bats, golf clubs, skillets, doors, car doors, 2X4's, tree limbs, bricks, rocks, sidewalks, curbs, etc. If it's not a gun or a knife, it's probably a "blunt object." In a limited space, they listed clubs and hammers; perhaps never imagining some idiot would imagine that is the entirety of the category.

According to the FBI annual crime statistics, the number of murders committed annually with hammers and clubs far outnumbers the number of murders committed with a rifle. This is an interesting fact, particularly amid the Democrats' feverish push to ban many different rifles, ostensibly to keep us safe of course. However, it appears the zeal of Sens. like Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) is misdirected. For in looking at the FBI numbers from 2005 to 2011, the number of murders by hammers and clubs consistently exceeds the number of murders committed with a rifle. Think about it: In 2005, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 445, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 605. In 2006, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 438, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 618. And so the list goes, with the actual numbers changing somewhat from year to year, yet the fact that more people are killed with blunt objects each year remains constant. For example, in 2011, there was 323 murders committed with a rifle but 496 murders committed with hammers and clubs. While the FBI makes is clear that some of the "murder by rifle" numbers could be adjusted up slightly, when you take into account murders with non-categorized types of guns, it does not change the fact that their annual reports consistently show more lives are taken each year with these blunt objects than are taken with Feinstein's dreaded rifle. Another interesting fact: According to the FBI, nearly twice as many people are killed by hands and fists each year than are killed by murderers who use rifles. The bottom line: A rifle ban is as illogical as it is unconstitutional. We face far greater danger from individuals armed with carpenters' tools and a caveman's stick. And it seems fairly obvious that if more people had a gun, less people would be inclined to try to hit them in the head with a hammer.

User Details are only visible to members.	Party: While you are correct that almost no child has been killed when finding their fathers hammers. (pneumatic hammer might be a different story.) If you wish to ban tools based upon deaths, then should we not look at the tools which cause the greatest number of deaths? Handguns come to mind above any assault weapon. Another point is that you desire to do good works. To do these works, you need political capital. History says that assault weapon bans are not acceptable, polls show that it remains unacceptable and will cost the democrats dearly in the polls. Yet what has not and remain an acceptable compermize is background checks for all weapon sales/gifts/transfers of ownership and closing loop holes like gun show/private sales which are except from the same regulations as Walmart? Further mental health screenings is an idea which is catching on and can open the door to a debate on the need for a review of the national mental health system and cost. This would so countless goods for the entire nation and save more lives than that is lost to one kind of weapon. (assault weapons) So with this stated, wouldn't smaller chunks be better than nothing or tinny chunks?

It may be that some people are stupid enough to want to believe that hands and hammers are more dangerous than assault rifles, but when you fabricate numbers and repeatedly call them "facts", the nonsense has gone too far.
