Because it is fact. The states activate their militias (national guard) and hand them over to the federal government. Your redneck views are pointless to what is done and what has been established as lawful.

States cannot activate NG for outside their borders, that must be done by the President, and even then the law does not allow militia to be sent outside US borders. The NG is a reserve standing army, not a militia or they could not send troops overseas. All able bodied citizens are the militia. It is written in ever militia act as law.

User Details are only visible to members.	Looking: The amendment states that regulated militias protect the states from tyrrany and that the people have a right to weapons. It doesn't say civilians. It started with regulated militias and stated how such militias are formed. But it never stated that you the civilian have a right, only you the militiaman have the right to bare arms. There for if you want a weapon, you must be joined wih a regulated militia. As all regulated militias became the national guard, you must join the national guard to use your second amendment right. Why am I leaning more left? Because you radical righties are threatening war.

User Details are only visible to members.	Fjep: The state can't and doesn't send the national guard to war or other nations. The state activates the national guard for state duty, then signs the state activated units over to the federal government to be used in support if the active duty. The state never sent its national guard anywhere, it signed them over to the federal government. Anyone who serves is a number, a product which is traded. In war that trade is their lives for the goal. Any militia is the same thing, a product to be traded in a time of war or need. The reason we do not call the national guard the state militia is because the states militias are too limited in fire power for modern day warfare. The tools of war became too exoensive for any man to buy on their own and too complicated to understand on their own. So the militia became the national guard. The constitution was simply never updated because you are expected to do your homework and read the appropiate documents relating to the national guard and how it was formd. Either way, a well regulated militia isn't barny and friends, it is a group which answers to state officials, military officers. So unless you are signed up for such an organization and are in good standing with such organization. One can legitly state that you do not have the right to a fire arm. More over tradition if informal militias being accepted as the states militias came out of the limitations of communications between regions of a state. It was expected that these informalilitias fell under the control of a regulated militia when encountered by the state regulated militia. Today we have no such limitations there for the informal militias do not count towards the second amendment.
