This was in GW's first annual message to Congress, Jan 1790. It reads a lot like the first Amendment, which was adopted almost 2 years later, Dec of '91. The words 'disciplined' and 'well digested' were combined as 'well regulated' in the 2A.

User Details are only visible to members.	FJ nope the NG and the reserves are not the same. They can become the same if the federal government nationalizes the NG but the guard is under state command and control until that happens. The reserves are always under federal control.

User Details are only visible to members.	Either the NG is part of the US military or it is not, and the US Army Guard confirms that NG is the army reserve. Under the constitution and law the president cannot call out the militia, congress has that power. And then it is limited to within the boundaries of the US. Get the fuck over it, the people are still the militia, if they are not then there is no militia. And the SCOTUS agrees with the original intent of the 2A and militia. So you can weep and piss and moan all you want. Your Utopia will never be, NEVER, your communist dreams will not be fulfilled. You might as well just stay in the basement playing Call of Duty.

Every act in relation to the militia has been an evolution to the national guard we have today. The term national guard replaced the militia, it simply was never updated in the constitution. Further all of these acts clearly state that the president doesn't even need state authority to call up the national guard (formally known as militia) and in times that a state government is determined void (such as civil war) the president or congress may order all of the state in question guard forced (militia) disbanded until such time as a proper government is established. So once more your wet dream is busted as you must be a member of a well regulated militia to have a right to a weapon... Not just a citizen. If you want to keep to the one line from The militia act of 1792 for all abled bodied men to be the militia... Then you must join the national guard... The ONLY recognized regulated state militias. See what you get when you try to use the letter of the law to win? You lose rights.

The National Guard Status Act of 1933 created a new reserve component of the Army called the National Guard of the United States. Henceforward, every Guard member would have two statuses, though he or she could only serve in one status at any given time. A Guard member could either serve under state authority as part of the National Guard of the several States, Territories and the District of Columbia, or under federal authority in the National Guard of the United States when ordered into active federal service by the President whenever Congress declared a national emergency. From the Army National Guard site. The NG cannot serve as a state militia while in active federal service. As such they are useless to defend the rights of the people and the states from a corrupt federal government, as the founders had originally intended as one of the purposes of the militia. The act can call them militia until the president or congress uses them for purposes not outlined in the acts and the law. And the Dick act does not change that all able bodied citizens are not the militia. It breaks it into two classes of militia. But considering your poor education, and lack of reading skills it is understandable that you missed it. There is real contradiction because standing army and militia are not the same, and the National Guard Status Act makes it clear that NG is part of the standing army.

User Details are only visible to members.	Bobby you are soooo unable to read, the same section is in the Dick act that is in the Militia act of 1792, and is in article 10 of the constitution. All able bodied citizens are members of the militia. So stop with the stupid crap, because it makes you look even more stupid. It has been posted and proved here many times. The Militia acts are clear what the use of the militia is, and what the militia can be used for. The current NG is used as standing army reserves, or they could not be used overseas. The law is clear on this, so you can post your nonsense till you are blue in the face, it does not change what is stated in law and the constitution.
