I read an artical in the local newspaper a few years ago about what happen to the people who signed DOI.some lost everything,some lost famliy, some even lost thier lives.these were not poor or stupid men.I think more people should read about them and what happen to them.what have you lost for your country...I lost my innconce in a world of terror...........BS

Liberals want to disect it, pick a part each word, Yet when you look at all of the definitions , you cannot assert that . especially when you take into context what comprised the militia in 1775 , and what the requirements to be in the militia, and what they did.

User Details are only visible to members.	Dufus I asked you if they were paid and if they were professional. That is NOT a militia. A militia is a citizen army, they are not the regular paid army. And by the constitution they can only be called out by congress, and cannot be sent overseas. The militia is spelled out in every single militia act, it is the citizens of the state between 18 and 45, and has been affirmed by SCOTUS in rulings. And a little tit of history for you, George Washington was a commander in the Colonial(British) militia, and it was that militia that was responsible for kicking the British out. Think about that for awhile.

New York has it's own Navy for example. The last really big operation for the CA Militia was during WWII. Ca saw it's National Guard called to Federal Service and shipped overseas. Ca facing invasion from Japan used it's Maltia to defend against the possible invasion. Recently the CA Malitia has been used to help fighting wild fires. It can also be used to defend the State against hostile Federal Forces of the USA if nessesary. The California State Military Reserve is authorized as a state defense force under the provisions of the Title 32, United States Code, Section 109(c) [11] and the California State Military Reserve Act (codified in the California Military and Veterans Code).[12] It is one of five components of the California Military Department [13] and has legal standing as part of California's Active Militia.[14] Members and Recruiting The force consists of citizens who possess a variety of skills, and many members are veterans of other branches of the United States Military as well as former members of the California Army and Air National Guard. They are considered uncompensated employees,[15] and when called to emergency state active duty, they become compensated employees.[16] The force is headquartered in Sacramento, CA. The CSMR is the state’s authorized militia. Unlike the Civil Air Patrol or the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, the CSMR is a statutory military entity of the state with each CSMR member subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) per CMVC § 560.[17] All citizens who are not felons and possess a high school diploma are eligible, although military veterans and those with special skills which materially contribute to the CSMR mission are preferred.

The written language of constitution didn't evolve. Like it or not, the only recognized militia as being well regulated is the national guard. End of story.
