What I perceive is a slow, "baby steps", subtle and subliminal approach that the left is taking towards that direction. Most people are so busy with their lives at the local level i.e., going to school, working, buying a home, making sure their kids are cared for, looking after parents with health problems etc., that they are unaware of what is happening. The left tried to openly and aggressively change this country in the late 1960s and all through the 1970s. They failed and Americans stood up and elected Ronald Reagan. In the 1990s, Bill Clinton was put up as a Moderate with both conservative and liberal values. However, he did not do what the left expected, plus they were shocked when the American people threw out a 40 year controlled Democrat Congress. The left now realizes they are a small number and therefore have to carry out their agenda on a more subtle level. Now they are using the courts to make law or order legislation, which is a violation of the seperation of powers. They are also using health, the environment, aging, education as ways to manipulate and misrepresent, thus "scaring" the everyday American who does not have time to research and check out what is really happening. Most Americans are trustworthy people who take the face value, of the word, of someone in a position of responsibility as true. This includes those in the media. Our ability to see and believe in the integrity and goodness of others is what makes us great, but it is a catch 22. The long term goal of those on the left is to socialize America. No longer will the government be representative of the people. The government will be nothing more then rich elitists and special interest groups who dictate to the people how life should be lived.

She scares me, if you really listen to her, she sounds just like those that used to run the Soviet Politburo. I do not want this country to become the socialist "utopia" that she wishes it to be.

It would be very stupid for the republican party to not include global climate change. Regardless of how they themselves think or feel about it they are saying what they can to help win an election for their party. Same goes for the democrats. Example it doesn't matter which party it comes from Obama would get shit for having a muslim name. These are tactics yes sometimes dirty ones.
