Apparently the Chinese apply the death penalty across the board, and not just for the little fish like we do. Do you think the death penalty should be reserved for street level violent crime, or should it also apply to high level white collar criminals, as in China? Beijing's No. 1 Intermediate People's Court convicted Zheng Xiaoyu of taking bribes in cash and gifts worth more than $832,000 while he was director of the State Food and Drug Administration, the official Xinhua News Agency said. Those bribes allowed eight companies to get around drug approval standards, it said.

The nazis were found guilty at Nuremberg for waging agressive warfare and all swung by the neck. Mussolini was strung up by the heels by his own people. Saddam found his neck in a noose over illegitimate claims of WMDs. It doesn't take much for a leader to be on the receiving end, and history is written only by those still around.

Sounds pretty Marxist to me! What about free trade? Shouldn't we be able to buy goods and services where we like and from the cheapest supplier?
