Why is the DHS buying these??? When was the last time an IED used against a veh. in the US?? Are they getting ready for an up rising or a take over??

It isn't for an a Rpg, it is for an IED. They use the RPG, because more people are familiar with the RPG than the IED, for think that the two are the same. Yes I am aware that the RPG is means to penetrate vrs the IED which is primarly meant to heat up... Throw some copper and soft metals in with the IED and you have a nasty penetration weapon, which even our battle tanks cannot block. Given that we won't be driving battle tanks through our streets, a up armored vehicle like this is logical and a valuable lesson learned from Iraq. |

lol nah not really. Am sure they will pick you up first anyway. But is there really a need for DHS to have this kind of vehicle on the street. I have not seen a RPG for years and have never heard of one being fired at a vehicle in the US

Well then I would not make a statement about heavy weapons with out being able to provide the information about what type of heavy weapons that were being used.

vacpl, if you would read any real news, you would be aware that Dorner shot and killed some armed LEO's who were looking for him.
I don't know exactly what weapons he used, but the authorities called in some sort of armed vehicle to finally end his shooting spree. |
