Unfortunately, there will never be an argument strong enough or logic sound enough to convince the far left wingers that these tragedies are not the fault of the weapon used. You will not make them understand that this animal would have found alternate means to accomplish his goal which may have resulted in even higher loss of life. These folks are fixated on the demonic firearm. So let's ban the possession and use of box knives used to take the lives of over 3000 people, or let's ban the use of school busses because a class of children died when the driver fell asleep crossing a bridge, better yet ban bridges. In short blame the source, the man, not the tool he chose.

Israel doesn't have such heinous crimes carried out by it's own members of society precisely because the population understands that the police is not there to protect the citizens, but to enforce law. Society is protecting itself, policing itself, proof is in the pudding. Banning weapons will society with only the thugs with weapons. This is what you're supporting. Right to keep and bear arms is every American citizen's constitutional Right. We do not know the details of what happened. We do not understand such actions. We can never comprehend what happened in the person's mind to make them carry out such a heinous crime. We cannot foresee it, most of the time. Banning guns is not the answer. Learning from these experiences, securing ourselves, creating plans that work which get implemented at times like this is what we need to focus on. And I hope that you understand what I'm trying to say here when I tell you that: It is precisely because the school carried out their emergency plan, that only 26 people lost their lives. If they had no plan, I assure you, a lot more innocent people would have died.

Unless the owner is already dead. Sellers of firearms should create their own firearm safety regulatory government, or expect the American government to enact legislation and enforcement to prevent the misappropriation and misuse of semi-automatic handguns.
