Certainly there are any number of things that one can use to kill many people.
In Jonestown, those people voluntarily drank the poison. Sure, a car can be used to kill people. So can fertilizer. And knives. And any number of things. The fact is that countries with strict gun control have fewer of these mass casualty events. I am fairly certain that the incidence of mental illness is about the same in most countries. The difference is the availability of firearms. |

I think we need to see if Ms. Feinstein holds stock in any gun manufacturers or retail vendors of firearms. The stock prices of businesses associated with firearms/ammunition/accessories is about to go through the roof for a short period.

The Oklahoma City bombing carried out by McVeigh snuffed 168 lives, including 19 children under the age of 6. Injured more than 680 people. Caused damage to 324 buildings within a 16 block radius. The bomb has caused over $650 million worth of damage.
We need to tell Ms.Fienstein that while she's proposing a ban on automatic/semi automatic weapons, she shouldn't forget a bill to ban fertilizer too! |

Not sure what happened, but the link for the story about someone deliberately driving into and killing 12 children didn't post. I believe that was in 2011.

Not sure if it is because "tis the season", or knee jerk reaction to the recent event in Conneticut, but the check out line in the gun department at a sporting goods retailer yesterday was about 80 people long- and growing.
No one started shooting, and the line, although slow, appeared to be moving. Glad I wasn't in that line. That retailer is having a merry Christmas. |
