A point of perspective on this. The people in the large areas of population have one point of view on things, including gun control, that seem totally irrational to those of us who live in areas of very sparse population. This does not make us paranoid. Many of these opinions are the result of the necessities of our world. You have heard the line of thought that goes along the line that a gunfight thrust upon you will be over in seconds when Law Enforcement is minutes away? Law Enforcement is an hour, or more, away from many of us. Our hope is that we never have to use deadly force to protect "me and mine", but we must stay prepared for that eventuality. There is no other option. The answers the folks from the beehive socialist cities have will never be my answers. We do not have anywhere near the law enforcement necessary to protect us and we never will here. We do not have mass transit for transportation, a community water system to deliver water water systems to our homes, a waste treatment system to take the sewer drainage away from our homes, or even close neighbors to turn to for immediate or instant support in an emergency. We have to provide all of these things for ourselves in the same manner as we provide for our own security. I have friends down the road a ways who live quite comfortably off the power grid. They produce and store their own electric power or use non electric technology that they own and/or have constructed to take care of necessities.

User Details are only visible to members.	I heard that Adam broke over 46 laws leading up to the deaths at Sandy Hooks. We know he broke 4 counts of taking firearms into a GFSZ. 4 counts of transporting loaded weapons. 4 counts of theft. A couple hundred counts of child endangerment. Burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, 27 counts of murder. Seems creating more laws really would have made little difference.

User Details are only visible to members.	"...the recent push for more gun control laws. " I'd say we need fewer gun control laws, and fewer loopholes. Just say no to weapons designed to kill large numbers of people. Leave 'em on the battlefield. Imagining that you'll have to fight your own government is one of the most obvious indicators of paranoia.

User Details are only visible to members.	I was just told this joke on another forum. A man had just finished lecturing another guy about guns being merely compensation for a small...richard. The self appointed he man walked into the parking lot, where he was attacked by a mugger. He started screaming for help, and the gun owner yelled to him, "Show him your dick!"
