So if a person comes up to YOU and puts a gun to your head what are you going to do?

Piss your pants?

Again as has been pointed out to Robert, there are no significant, if any cases of a armed citizen having a gun put to their head. There are no significant cases of armed citizens being killed. There are no significant cases of openly armed citizens even being involved in a crime, as victim or suspect.

So if a person comes up to you, and puts a gun to your head. You will have time to get your gun, take the safety off and shoot? How will that work? Not sure of your training. But, there is many police officers dead that had a gun. Just didn't have time to get it out and use it

BTW that person with a gun would not go after any child of mine, they are armed, as well as I am. Criminals look for victims, not people who can fight back. The responsibility of safety belongs to each individual for their family and themselves.

If they wish to trust government that is their problem, they are at fault also.

The person with the gun. A police officer may have a duty to enforce the law he is under no obligation by law to enforce it. And again it would be unconstitutional for a state or local officer to enforce federal law, by a ruling brought on by Eric Holder.

ok. what would happen if the police officer pulls over a car, finds an illegal weapon. lets the person go due to his belief. said person goes and kills your child after he pulled said person over? now who's fault is that? would you go after officer?

Police officers are not soldiers. Enforcing the law is at their discretion, only laws that say "shall" enforce are they legally obligated to enforce. Those laws are usually child or spousal abuse laws, and state laws.

LEA are under no obligation to protect the public by any means. This has been affirmed by SCOTUS. So it is perfectly within their scope to NOT enforce laws they feel is not constitutional. In fact by Eric Holders own stupidity he has made it unconstitutional for them to enforce any federal laws. Due to the federal law suit in Arizona. So technically they cannot enforce gun control laws.

ok what constitutes a "law" going over the line?....just remember if a law passes then it is the duty of law enforcement to carry it out. whether they belive in it or not. now as far as new gun laws go, it will have to pass the senate and the house. house run by republicans. senate run by democrats. if and only if the "new" (use that term loosly, already had ban at one time) congress passes the law. then it will be both parties who will be at "fault". now what doesn't anyone understand?

Nope...this is where your ilk fails miserably to get it. Laws never say..YOU MAY NOT....they say ..IT IS UNLAWFUL TO...and then lay out the penalty Laws keep law abiding citizens lawful by setting boundaries and regulations Laws punish criminals who do not obey the law When criminals are in jail, society is safe from them. That's how it works. If you illegally sell your gun once universal background checks are put in place, you are no longer a law abiding citizen

Party,

Your statement makes the argument that laws are intended to encourage crime.
