User Details are only visible to members.	Looking: Most everyone refers to Bibles as any groups holy book unless specifically stated the name of a group. (Christian, Jewish, Islamic or other bible.) As for derailing the conversation with biblical references? Because it is wha the right do all the time. While the bible maybe useful as a reference scourse... It's use has been hijacked by the religious right and until this problem is resolved... These radicals so marginalized as to have no voice in the republican party, conservatives and the right ought not use the cruch of a religious reference at all. Religion itself is limited. It's use has limited societies and driven more cultures into extenction than all of histories non-religiously motivated military or warlord leaders combined.

User Details are only visible to members.	Bobby , wasn't Cain and Abel also mentiond in the torah? Why do you assume I was taking the context from a bible? Would I have been refering to the King James version, the Catholic bible, or the Torah? or even the Quran? So it isn't just a christian reference but a reference to a story in a book. Why do narrow minded people always assume a reference that may come from the bible is meant to deride from a conversation or discussion , instead of taking the reference of a common story to illustrate a point ?

The movie thing I stated a welding torch and some metal to lock the exterior door and wheel a barrel of windex and bleach into the room... Release and seal the theater side of the door with the torch. Who in their right mind would take on a torch weilding maniac? As for the school shooting... I said a bomb would have killed more. Or he could use a Walmart bought shotgun and bird shot at close range... Three maybe four rounds and he would have wiped out an entire classroom. It was your bible reference you made and how so many on the right are bible thumpers who use both the bible and their interpretation of the constitution to justify themselves. Bible use for real political discussion = insane person.

User Details are only visible to members.	Bobby the point is people have killed others as long as man has been in existence. If not for the gun then the blade, strangling, or a host of other ways. Imaging for a moment if say the fellow in colorado Decided to take with him a few chains and locked all the fire exits, and then proceeded to throw molotov cocktails that he may have secreted in the theatre? would that have caused as much death ? possibly? same for the connecticut school, if that numbskull stole a fuel truck and crashed through he front of one of the classrooms and proceeded to blow it up would the devastating be any less? There are many ways to cause death. Pretending that a Gun or type is the sole reason is as sane as mandating every person remove their index finger , since the majority of people use that to pull the trigger, Though some may adapt to using the middle finger....

If it were, then habitual would have been wiped out long ago as we aren't well suited for survival without a complex mind to create ever more complex tools. Further if cane and able were real, then likely their god is real... The same one who flooded this planet because he had a tick up its gigantic ass... The same murderous god who nuked two cities because they rejected it... If this is so, than I will have to call upon all sapient beings to strike down this god or be turned to nothingness in so trying... For it is an unjust genocidal god and thus unfit to hold the title of God. I reject any god which must use death as its means to an end, there for either no god exist or it created the big bang and left... In which case it did nothing to warrant my loyalty... Just my equal indifference to its existance.

Further can you state what issue you are referring to? Sometimes in debates, the issue must be refered to, so that others who have been lead astray may return to the issue being discussed.
