User Details are only visible to members.	How is building a road a profitable undertaking for a contractor? Well, it goes like this: Government collects taxes from citizen. Government hires contractor to build said road, and pays said contractor way too much money to get the work done. Contractor rips up existing road and takes local community by the short-hairs by making their daily commutes miserably long. Government pays contrator stiff and healthy bonus to complete work early to get complaining citizens off government's back. Contractor makes shitloads of cash. BTW, I've driven I-95 from South Carolina through Florida all the way down to Miami many times, and the part that is in most disarray with potholes and rubble starts from Jacksonville Florida all the way south!

User Details are only visible to members.	er, how is interstate 95 a profitable undertaking? or any interstate? how does it turn a profite? I drive it everyday i don't pay for it. When i drive the turnpike i pay but a GOVT still floated a bond to build it and the money collect goes to debt service and retiring the bonds.

Who does it now? Who builds the roads now?? Certainly not the government. All they do is take money from you and pay a contractor to build them. All of those things you list are highly profitable enterprises. Government is nothing more than a middleman that jacks up the price to making them happen.

Now i'm not a big fan of bloated govt but there are needs that need to be served. so explain to me who would do it? YOU?
