GFandME...If there were a true "scandal" within the Obama administration I would be happy to acknowledge it...but all we have seen are desperate shots in the dark by his detractors desperately in search of scandals that do not exist

there are some legit scandals for obama, no doubt about it. but there have been legit scandals for EVERY damn president. both sides are so screwed up, this site proves it. all of you argue your views and nobody listens, nobody remotely changes their minds, nobody gets anywhere. this is why the current system is broken. it needs serious change or this country is doomed.

BOTH SIDES ARE FUCKED UP !

President Reagan sent troops the Beirut after his political party proclaimed him their Great Communicator. His military blunder followed that of President Carter, and was a worse military blunder.

That same Republican Party nominated Wicked Willard as their last presidential candidate. Romney believed god lived on a planet named Kolob.

Once can wonder what kind of blunders Wicked Willard would have committed as Commander In Chief.

Marine Barracks were bombed in Beirut that killed around 248 marines under Regan administration.

My all time favorite one is, The Khobar Tower Bombing.. That one in particular, I will wear as a badge of honor for life, so says the V.A.

I know, it wasn't anything special, simply because we were in uniform.

March 2, 2006. Karachi, Pakistan again. Suicide bomber attacks the U.S. Consulate killing four people, including U.S. diplomat David Foy who was directly targeted by the attackers. January 12, 2007. Athens, Greece. Members of a Greek terrorist group called the Revolutionary Struggle fire a rocket-propelled grenade at the U.S. Embassy. No fatalities.

March 18, 2008. Sana’a, Yemen. Members of the al-Qaeda-linked Islamic Jihad of Yemen fire a mortar at the U.S. Embassy. The shot misses the embassy, but hits nearby school killing two.

July 9, 2008. Istanbul, Turkey. Four armed terrorists attack the U.S. Consulate. Six people are killed.

September 17, 2008. Sana’a, Yemen. Terrorists dressed as military officials attack the U.S. Embassy with an arsenal of weapons including RPGs and detonate two car bombs. Sixteen people are killed, including an American student and her husband (they had been married for three weeks when the attack occurred). This is the second attack on this embassy in seven months.

Can you name them? Without looking them up...

"What's so different about this event? Was it because someone got the facts wrong, is that it? "

SA - Can you be more specific? When was the last time something like this happened?
