That cartridge has been used the world over to take down large and dangerous game, and still is today. The .223 round which is similar to the NATO 5.56 is a varmint round, it is minimal to hunt small deer, and in many states illegal to use for deer sized and larger game. Really except for smart weapons/large ordinance the weapons of WW2 were/are more efficient at killing man size targets. IF you were a soldier you would know there is a certain amount of grumbling about the 5.56, and also the NATO 9mm. In fact the USMC just signed a large contract with Colt to go BACK to the .45 ACP in a Colt 1911. Most rifle cartridges of past were designed to stop a horse in a calvary charge. The 5.56 NATO was not, it was designed to be easy to shoot in a smaller weapon that weighed much less than the 10 pound Garand. The Garand is a far superior weapon, no is no such thing as a more deadly weapon. A person could have a space star trek super duper phazer and it still would not matter if they are dead from a measly .22 long rifle, or even short. More bullets and black colors does not make one bullet proof. But then if you were actually a soldier you would know that.

However sense WWII, the capacity of one person to make many people dead has increased dramatically and that is why sense WWII, the government has been making changes to gun rights and laws relating to guns.

Once SCOTUS rules on gay marriage it will further cement that people have a constitutional right to live their life as they wish and control their own destiny. The sooner the courts rule on this the better, as this will also affect anti gun legislation. Government and the tit suckers need to get out of responsible citizens lives and rights. Whether they be sexual preference, control of ones own body, or the right to self defense and self preservation from whoever including the government.

If the pro life movement would stop and realize this ruling will never change, it can be used to return more liberties that government has taken away from them.

That said, the woman having the abortion is removing what she doesn't want, not placing something she wants into it. Further if drugs were legal, and the addicts couldn't hold jobs... They will run out of welfare and be on the street. This is a major detrament to the public and safety... While a mother (right or wrong) having an abortion limits the damage to society to three people directly. (unborn, mother and then the father) Further to allow such a oppinion as yours on this matter to stand, one could argue that religious freedom of the father can command the courts to protect his unborn child's life. As there are limits to religious freedom which prevents the father from having a say. One can also assume that there exist a limit to the freedom to do self harm. Now you can make the argument that self harm ought not be treated as a crime, but a mental disorder... But that doesn't fix the problem.
