User Details are only visible to members.	Bobby, without man there is no religion, so of course man did them. Duhhhhhhh! But law and morality have been based on a believe system from the beginning. All do not have to believe to change that fact. Where those systems are weak such as Somalia there is more chaos. Somalia is anarchism at it's best or worst however you want to look at it. It is based on taking what you want without regard for morality. While laws should be held to a minimum some laws are necessary for order even if you do not like them. The very thing that helped make laws just or unjust was a believe system. BTW almost all societies have had slavery, and there are some that still do. I am still waiting on you to name a moral society not based on religion...

Are what you do in your home or place of worship, so long as it doesn't affecet society. Religion in the us affects society and in a negative way. It is used to create division and hate, it is used to blind people to true morality of the betterment of humanity under laws made to govoren all humans. Religion doesn't seperate us from animals, our ability to think beyond greed and lust allows this defining like to be drawn and to create religion.

User Details are only visible to members.	Animals other than humans have social order, chimps, apes, wolves, fish, and birds. But they have no religion or morals. They rape, they kill, they steal when they need, or if they feel threatened. Within these societies there are lower(slaves) and upper levels. In wolves a lower level will be killed if it does not submit to the the alpha. While religion has done some awful things remember it was always based on the morality and socialism of the many. But without religion defining some sort of morals whether you like it or not, we would all be following the rules that domination sets, not morality.

Even muhammad wrote the koran because he wanted to bring moral order to the arabs. Moses was given the 10 commandments (alledgley by god) to bring civil order to the isrealites (using the fear of god to keep the people in line}. As far as religion giving worth to human life, that hasn't always been true, religon has been used to take many more lives than it has been used to save. Human life having more vaule than that of an animal is a modern ideology and a progressive concept.

User Details are only visible to members.	Sedu: I will agree with you, no child left behind was a mistake. At the least the way we operate with it. I agree all children within our sphere of influence should be educated to the best of our ability, but accept that not all children will be educated equally or to the best of our ability. Bullies need to be removed from the school so to educate the rest of the students that bullying isn't tolerated. (simplest means is calling the police and having the legal system deal with the assault as an assault. When the legal system fails, then suspension and expulsion is in order. After the 6th grade, any student who attacks another student physically should be immediately suspended and upon any second offense within the same year, preeminently removed from the school system. (I am sure most all of us can agree that after 10 years old, you know not to hit another.) Verbal abuse by other students is harder to stop, however there comes a time when the damage can be measured by professionals and thus while in school punitive action taken against the verbal assailants and when out of school.. the legal system. The greatest problem however is that our society refuses personal responsiblity in raising their kids... and in a growing number of cases I can not blame this mentality on the parents alone. Businesses have reduced the standard of living in the US to the point that a single parent on minimum wage or close to it cannot raise a family, let alone provide for themselves. As such there is no parents in the household, the parents are working 10 to 15 hours a day to provide a living, a standard of living above what we see in the third world. Like the third world nations without power projection, without education, you have no future. Reduce the wage, reduce the income of the masses and you reduce buying power, reduce buying power you reduce the tax base, reduce the tax base, you reduce power projection. It is all circular and it all starts with education.
