That's fine, Joe, but that is not what the base wants to hear.

They want "the shining city on the hill" rhetoric. The electorate wants sunshine blown up their ass.

And then they will vote for a person based on no sense whatsoever...

Well I know telling the truth and not talking in Riddles is a foreign concept for Liberals. Are auto jobs coming back to Detroit? All the experts say no. Are we ever going to deport all Illegal Immigrants? All the Experts say NO. Are we going to have more wars? History says Yes. Got a problem with those facts, too damn bad. We need to deal with whats real and stop with the Idealogical fantasies. The truth can be hard to swallow but it's good medicine at the end of the day, I want that quality in our next president. Liberals only offer us "Mirror Politics" You see in them whatever you want to see, if it's the popular opinion at the time that is. It's about time we had someone in office who doesn't pander or beg for people to like him or even agree with him. That's the biggest reason why Dems fear Mccain and Far Right Wingers can't stand him. He tell ya the truth whether you like it or not.

McCain looks pretty strong right now. spoke with a true blue conservative here in PA who is involved in the party and he really had some misgivings about mccain in addition to worries about his age.

Looks as if McCain has won in Florida. Wonder if Desty voted for him.

According to Pat Buchanan, McCain's platform is:

The jobs are never coming back, The illegals are never going home, And we are going to have more wars...

Damn, that's a winning platform...

Especially if Desty is losing an argument, he will throw in some post that is so off subject, you wonder if he has multiple personality disorder...

"I am for raising that minimum wage. But you have to do it a rate where you're not creating upheaval in the economy. But in many public places, we have living wages already being put in place. … So I am very much in favor of individual efforts—federal government and others—moving to help create the ability for people on the wage to be able to make it and do better. But within the private sector, I think we have to ratchet it up at a rate that is acceptable to the marketplace so we don't have an economic dislocation. But we have to start to get people able to earn more."
