TOPIC: America's GOP: A Parade of Blame Scavengers
Created by: Z_Z_Krewe
Original Starting post for this thread:
This week of American patriotism [the Fourth of July] will include a multitude of parades featuring the GOP Blame Scavengers, whose political ideology seems fixed on the principle of finding anything to blame on the President of USA, Barack Obama, and shifting the blame to him and the Democratic Party.

Idiots out walking around having fun together will march in or alongside these parades, demonstrating their proud, patriotic 21st Century tradition.

Other patriotic citizens will march to the beat of different drummers.

Happy Fourth of July, patriots!

Several conservative media outlets blasted the president on similar terms. "Obama may have just been trying to flatter his guest who was obviously eager to show that Ho was not the monster history shows him to be," Chris Stirewalt, digital politics editor for Fox News wrote. "But his connection between the American founders and Ho shows either a massive lack of historical knowledge on the part of the president or a remarkable degree of moral flexibility." (The Drudge Report quickly picked up the Fox piece.) The headline at Breitbart dot com read, "Obama Praises Communist Dictator & American Enemy Ho Chi Minh." And so on and so forth.

Yes, it is true that the United States once waged a disastrous, pointless, and horrific war against Ho Chi Minh and the people of Vietnam. But Obama's comment wasn't a gaffe or insult to American war vets, as much as someone like Allen West would like it to be. What Obama said is literally a historical fact. In September 1945, Ho Chi Minh delivered the Declaration of Independence of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in Hanoi to a crowd of nearly a million Vietnamese. Not only was the "The Star-Spangled Banner" played by a Vietnamese band during his address, but he opens his speech by quoting Thomas Jefferson. Here's the excerpt:

"All men are created equal. They are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness"

This immortal statement was made in the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America in 1776. In a broader sense, this means: All the peoples on the earth are equal from birth, all the peoples have a right to live, to be happy and free.

So there you go. Anyone with the capacity to Google "ho chi minh thomas jefferson" would have been able to find all of this in seconds. Wait until Allen West and right-leaning editorialists discover that Karl Marx was a supporter of Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant.

{Only idiots out walking around having fun together can distort facts by misrepresenting them and using them to blame someone they detest. However, that is a characteristic of GOPoopers whose intellect is full of waste products.}

Yeah right.

You lie about something as mundane as your age, you will lie about anything...

That is a totally different matter FJ. In one case I'm trying to corral the best pussy I can; and in the other I'm stating facts about what I have accomplished during my, harrumph, work life. I'm sure even Robert will give me some slack on reporting may true age on SLS. The age I am reporting goes to my sexual capabilities, which happen to be of more specific interest on this specific site. Plus, I didn't yet report the fact that I am down 18 pounds from my stated SLS weight. Since that is of importance here, I shall correct that.

Mr. ST,

You have no credibility. If you would lie about something as mundane as your age, how are we to trust anything you say?

Ok, TBR. As usual, when you are wrong about something, you go emotional, stop rational thought, and attack. Dispute with factual information what I stated, and you will gain respect. As for Robert, I have to admit tis guy can state as fact anything he wants to misrepresent. If you read those sentences of irrational, dreamed up data, totally fact less, and wonder at how he then cobbles together a yet new pile of BS, you do have to wonder. For your information, Robert, my wife and I raised up four children, put them all thru college. They are a lawyer, a home builder and designer, a computer master programmer, and a teacher. I worked hard from the age of 10. Every summer until I graduated for College and went to work. And you have decided I have ruined your world? As did my Generation? Tell me Robert. What in the world have you been smoking? What have you contributed? What is your generation contributing?
