Economic recovery requires re-investing capital in American enterprises for Americans. Op-eds and professional thesis support the agenda of the Democratic agenda. Here is one such op-ed:

Catherine Crier Cut taxes on the rich, so the argument goes, and this money will be reinvested at home. For those of you who have read Patriot Acts, we’ve been over this numerous times, but let me restate an empirical fact: Tax cuts for the wealthy do not increase overall revenues or spur domestic business investment and job growth. [From patriotacts dot com.]

A new longitudinal study compiles data from the last 65-years to find why tax cuts in and of themselves have never led to economic growth. In the past, the rich may have reinvested about a third of their tax savings in the U.S., but now, most of it goes into savings, personal spending, or overseas investments.

Republic-con Party economics are unchanged. Give the largest tax breaks to the richest corporations and families, and the economy will improve some day.

"Bring home that money! Use it to build very big houses with really nice stuff to put in them. That puts people to work! Carter did the exact opposite. What was it? Something like 20 boat making companies in America went out of business, throwing 1000's out of work."

No, actually it doesn't. That is what we call a surge, a quick influx of cash, but not a sustainable growth. More sustainable amounts of money in the hands at the lower end of the population spurs growth as any good businessmen knows not to build a lasting business out of being paid to make a limited number of something.

If ten rich men were to dump 1,000 into buying things that won't be replaced for 10-20 years, they only provided a surge in jobs... as with all surges, the tides recede and typically more land is taken back into the sea.

In this case, the surge dumps lower class persons onto your local community. Persons who can not buy enough to maintain the levels even half of what the surge had spiked at.

So now the cash recedes and employers lay the people they hired for the surge off.

Yet if the lower class were paid better, they would be more of them to buy more at a continuous bases. This is the water level rising, not a title wave striking the sea shore.

"Speak for yourself, you are the one doing back flips over the killing of a Muslim US citizen, and innocent Muslim civilians including women and children."

Do you understand the difference between war and genocide? Because there is a big big difference.

Civilians will die in war, more so if the combating forces hid in areas where there are civilians.

Genocide is the systematic extermination of an entire people and its culture, religion or other specific qualities of them.

"It is ironic that a man with Swiss and Cayman Island bank accounts presumably full of money earned overseas may be in a position to promote changes to our tax laws that will enable him to bring it home tax free (or greatly reduced)."

Which bank or financial institution? Where did you get the above information?

"Democrats argue that the one-time foreign profit tax holiday that Bush promoted in 2004 did not stimulate job creation but rather went into large one-time dividends to corporate shareholders. ..."

If Republicans were for it, we can assume this is true. Of, by, and for the rich.

Ironic, or repugnant?
