Crap, Robert! Surely you are intelligent and observant enough to realize your personal, extremely limited experience does not accurately reflect the rest of your generation's experience. It is very unfortunate that your life's experiences have made you into such a negative person, but what you see as your truth and your consequences are most definitely not the same for all in your age group. We here will not be able to convince you otherwise, I am sure, but there are those NOW and those who endured tremendous hardships BEFORE who survived and even flourished. |

well my young lad (since your talking to me like I'm an old lady) my step kids are just a few years older then you and don't seem to have the same issues you do. Of course they are positive kids that find a way to make things work. And my step daughter and her husband are every bit as much in love as her dad and I are, which means you deal with the good times and the bad. And you find ways to make the bad times good.

we have been all over the financial scale in our relationship. A matter of fact Trooper declared Bankruptcy right before we got married. That was taken care of when his house sold. Recently he was unemployed for 8 months. If you love each other you work through the hard times together.
He now has a job that pays well, and the commissions have the potential to be fantastic. The drawback? he is gone during the week, 3 weeks a month. |

Work which isn't paying 35k a year starting is manual labor which means at best 10 USD an hour... With no expectations of pay raises and no benefits. That is 12 hours of work per day... When you are working that hard for no gain... No savings for retirement, no medical, you are one Finantual distastor from divorce. Reality, most marriages end due to money. |
