It's OK, non-contributing posts are also part of the expectation. Like empty calories in a meal, no big deal.

I guess another way of expressing the OP might be: What better way is there to explain a premonition?

Even if nobody can actually "see" the future, might it be possible to discern an occasional echo from there? And by acting on these perceptions, we sometimes avoid a calamity, or jump on an opportunity?

The universe is a mysterious place, and the more we know, the more obvious it becomes that there's a lot more we don't know. We don't have to assign a "spiritual" aspect to what are often termed "paranormal" perceptions. It's quite likely most of these phenomena will someday be explained by science; we just aren't there yet.

An example of anticipating the future is that before starting this thread, I expected a certain forum sociopath would try to sabotage or derail it. Presto!

HFT,

That shouldn't be a problem for you, just remove your dentures and start licking the mirror ;)

Time definitely goes backwards in a mirror.

HFT

Since you believe in time travel, have you attempted to do that through a mirror?

Of the 4 dimensions in spacetime, 3 of them go both ways. They can be called up/down, right/left, forward/backward. The 4th dimension, time, is generally thought to only go one direction: Away from the past and into the future.

In quantum physics, there are entities known as antiparticles, which can be mathematically described as moving backward in time. But we can't build a machine out of antiprotons, anti-electrons, etc. Any interaction with ordinary matter makes for a complete annihilation of particles and their anti's.

Has anyone experienced a momentary sensation of time moving backward? Perhaps when you're waking up, or on drugs, or during sex? Could a glimpse into the backward-time universe explain deja vu? Intuition? A strong hunch or gut feeling that over-rides evidence?
