who had the best public relations behind them is a better question.The Beatles did, there music is and was a simple 1 and 2 and 3 and 4. very very basic..Only when Lennon wanted to take over the creative juices did the music start taking chances. This is when they evolved into an inovative band.
Before t hat you had bands that were taking chances but no one ever heard of these bands.Such as Star Castle,Strawbs before them you had the chuck Berrys, roy orbison,buddy holly who paved the groundwork for the beatles. |
