I really should have said Vintage vs retro. But yes her size 16 would be a 6 or a 4 in modern clothes. |

Janice Dickinson was the original super model. She was one of the judges on Tyra Bank's Next Top Model competition. She was scary back then, and she's scarier now. Yikes.

I saw a reprint from an ad from the 1910s or so - "the perfect woman". She was 5'7/160 lbs, as I recall....

Fun fact I found in the process: Twiggy - as famous as she was for being ultra-thin - is a size 10. |
