There are some wonderful quotes in Brave New World, and pretty interesting concepts, now that I've read it as an adult.

haven't had time to read much in the last couple of months but I did read a great book on Sally Rand a couple of weeks ago. Excellent book on a wonderful lady sent to me by a wonderful person :)

Love Kazuo Ishiguro. After I read Never Let Me Go, I ran around telling everyone how great it was. When pressed to explain the plot, I could never sell it to anyone! It is tough to boil down without sounding silly. I was surprised that it was picked up to be a movie? Enjoy your trip, Mrs. L.

Finally finished 2666, and 898 pages later not sure what to say about it!

Reading Talk to the Hand, by the author of Eats, Shoots and Leaves, a rant against the institutionalized rudeness we can't seem to avoid.

Bringing several books on vacation, but not sure how much time I'll have to read. Game of Thrones, one of the Camel Club books by David Baldacci, and books by Kazuo Ishiguro, Paul Auster, Tana French and Haruki Murakami.

I need to re-read Brave New World also!

I am finally completing a book for the first time in many years, yeah me!!! It is a novel titled the constant princess, about Katherine of Aragon. Quite interesting.

Lady, I thought at first you wrote, "GROPE" Genius. haha.

Just finished rereading Brave New World, Aldous Huxley. enjoyed it much more than I did when I had to read it in high school. But of course, that's true of most things.

Want to read 1000 shades of Grey. Not sure what I'll pick to read next. Hubby got me Kindle Fire for our anniversary. I'm still a book woman, but I have to admit the Fire is convenient.

After struggling through Philip Roth's, "Portnoy's Complaint," I have taken on the much lighter "A Dirty Job," by Christopher Moore. Not enjoying it as much as I enjoyed "Lamb," but it is a good read nonetheless.
