Ladies, have either of ya'll read anything by Morgan Llywelyn? She writes amazing historical fiction on the Celts. She is an American-born Irish author best known for her historical fantasy, historical fiction, and historical non-fiction. Her fiction has received several awards and has sold more than 40 million copies, and she herself is recipient of the 1999 Exceptional Celtic Woman of the Year Award from Celtic Women International

I'm the same way, novels are a new thing to me. She is interesting, she does good research on the period and gives good descriptions. Historically ahhh, its probably all bullshit though.

I have heard of her, but have not read any of her work. I mostly read histories, such as the history of Scotland. i did read a good book about Lady Jane Grey.

I love history, and one of my favorite authors is Philippa Gregory. PD, do you read her work? I know you love the same time period as I do. Its usually romantic drivel, but it is a nice break from my biographies. My G bought me a book on Catherine the Great. I love that book omg, its awesome!

No problem, Jan! I bought the 3 separately but noticed the other day they are available to purchase and download together now.

Thank you kindly Mrs. Frnz for letting me know. I think I will get it, along with the others, (I think there are 3 all together).

Jan, I read Fifty Shades of Grey and am almost through Fifty Shades of Darker. Fifty Shades of Freed is downloaded and waiting on my iPad. They aren't bad... I don't know if they deserved all the hype they got, but it is easy reading, has many very hot, sensual scenes, and explores a good bit of BDSM. It also has a "love story" to it as well. So basically, it is enough to keep my interest, but not so much that I can't put it down.

Just finished reading dues ex (forgot the sub title) but I didn't like the book too much. The book before it, Troy rising, hot gate was far better. It is the third by John ringo.

Oh and I am 220,000 words into my own 2 books, hoping to find an agent soon.

Anyone read 50 Shades of Grey? Is it worth the time. I am far from a reader, but that one seems like it would hold my interest, wonder why.
