Just had this same conversation tonight about it. I've started Wolves, but wow, is it a slow start. Hate giving up on it, but there are so many other things I want to read.

The Stand is my all time fave King book but I feel that the Dark Tower series jumped the shark after Wizards and Glass. I slogged through the Wolves of the Calla and had hope again after Songs of Susahhanh but never made it through The Dark Tower. I kinda think King lost his way and can't figure out what to do with this mess now.

Pandora, yes, I've read that and think it would be a great one, on the order of The Stand (which we tend to watch once a year).

Lois Lowery's Son. She has sworn that she will quit trying to ruin my favorite book ever by continuing to add to its franchise. We shall see. I'm fairly certain it won't live up to The Giver.

Kat- have you read it yet? I know you're a Giver fan.

The rumor mill circulating lately is that they are still trying to bring the Dark Tower to the big screen and the smaller stories to HBO or Showtime as a miniseries. Javier Bardem and Russel Crowe were both approached to play Roland (last I had heard), and Ron Howard was directing...They were still searching for a studio to finance it though last I heard...

I'm hoping they do.
