"My previous home cost us about 2K a month to "heat""

Yeah, it's metric. Honestly, it's easier for me to understand anyway since I work in laboratories and process manufacturing plants where metric measurements are the standard across all the Americas anyway.

When I'm in a rental cal tooling around, the first thing I figure out how to do (after finding a rock station in the area) is convert the temperature range on the dash from F to C.

M - T A C makes a dual heat thermostat that reads either Celsius or fahrenheit. They are a pain to wire because there is a jumper that has to go under the T wire and a few times the jumper will come out, causing the unit to read Celsius. The wire block is so tiny it is difficult to put back.

snowman fleece pj's. Yeah ubber sexy.

our thermostat is set at 74. It is no where near 74 even with a space heater/fireplace in the living room and a space heater in the master bedroom/bath. I keep a dual control electric mattress pad on the bed. Hubby is usually hot, I'm usually freezing to death. I consider it a great day if my fingers aren't so numb they hurt.
