Kat, for some reason, cheese cuffs actually seems more appropriate here.

Well, Mr. VA, you are just busting on me left and right, lol. I've never seen cheese cuffs advertised on a menu until a year ago. We go to some very fine restaurants, always checking out new places, too. So, you've seen this as an appetizer all the way back then?

"Cheese curds" is not a new term at all. I was eating cheese curds as part of poutine 20 years ago. Cheese curds are an intermediate stage in cheese making.

Kind of like "wort" is an intermediate in beer making....

The whole "clotted cream" thing...I'm all for "precision of language," a la the Giver, but Idk. Fluffy cream sounds a lot better. Dairy Queen is advertising "cheese curds." Is this a new trend?

Like bubble and squeak. Or butterbeer.

I could go for a Brit. Too bad rdy123 is still on a break. Mr. Rdy would not malign clotted cream for love nor money.

I was going to alert you to clotted cream dissing going on over here.

Titty Topper? Bet Mr va would try it then.

Clotted cream, though, is just too fucking British sounding to change.

Steve drinks bourbon! He gets better by the day.

Don't knock the clotted cream 'til you've tried it. it does need a new name, though. Sex on a scone?
