I don't know. Thinking I will go out to eat tonight. Maybe I should just start eating baby food, like the kiddo. Then I don't have to try to figure out how to cook for one person.

We had my ten chili chili. Some of which is now in 4 pint jars in the pressure cooker to be sent to a college kid in Newfoundland.

We always buy the leanest ground beef. We are amazed at the families who think that fatty ground beef is cheapest. It may be a few pennies less per pound, but it's NOT WORTH IT. We shop at the commissary, so the meat is really great there. Good cuts, or they'll cut things for you, and good prices for good meats.

Making burgers on the grill (I add a blend of spices to the ground beef) and making my own home fries: soak the potatoes (cut up) in ice water for 10 minutes. Rinse a couple of times. Then marinate in a bowl: ketchup, garlic, vinegar (I use a red wine vinegar, but you can try any type you prefer). You can add any spices you like, to taste. I add pepper when frying. Fry the potatoes in a small amount of extra virgin olive oil. Drain on paper towels. They're very good.
