I'm going to have to look into this Cajun Microwave cooker thingy.

After reading your description, I'd be willing to wager that someone somewhere is lso going to claim that cooking method originated somewhere else. Sounds to me like a variation of a Dutch Oven- only bigger.

Found a few good recipies, will be trying one on Wednesday... going out to dinner tonight with the youngest son and daughter in law....going to a new place for us... Union Barrel Works, in Denver ... menu on line looks good !!

carmones alcapolco..... jumbos shrimp stuffed with queso cheese, wrapped with bacon, now everyone knows bacon makes everything better mmmmmmm oh and some kick ass rice and salad

lol fj yeah they had some floating. Ill just stick to the stainless ones that we use when we borow one .

Just take one used coffin, rip out the liner, install grate at bottom, flip the lid to hold burning embers, and you should have a Cajun microwave. Were there not an abundance of those floating around after Katina?

It is an outside cooking box,Kind of like the hole in the ground cook method but you can cook meat in it. I know this for a fact because they originated down here in Louisiana and you will never find a better way to cook meat ie. whole pig beef quarter,,They really cook AWSOME. I have a few friends who have them.
