SensuousAndNasty, First off we want to thank you for fighting to keep our country safe.. Without people like you,we would not have our freedom.. We hear you on the good foods, there are many cultures that have excellent food...

"BOUDIN, GUMBO, ETTOUFFEE, JAMBALAYA, SAUCE PIQUANT, FRICASSE...

...TABOULI, HUMUS" ------------------------------------------------------------ Actually, I love all those foods. Having had the privilege of serving my country in foriegn lands 17 out of 21 years, I always tried to embrace the different cultures and foods.

I loved the food (and people, especially the women - lol) in Israel. The Arabic cuisines are also very tasty as well as interesting. In France, I thought the food was edible but overrated with the exception of Steak TarTare which I love.

In Japan the Kobe beef is outstanding. The Kobe Porterhouses & Filet Mignon are delicious "bloody" rare. However, as both a farm boy growing up and as a young adult in my travels it is my understanding that only those cuts from the short loin are recommended to be eaten raw within recipes or cooked rare.

Hell, one food I cannot eat and I am primarily of scottish heritage is haggis.
