Elley those r nice!! Tonight we are having shrimp stew.I got lucky yesterday, caught 350 pounds of Decent shrimp ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I have no place to put them lol.

I was going to also say sopapillas. Dan is craving those.

Transplants here as well.

Dan just said peach cobbler is really popular here, esp with BBQ. He's lived here before.

Pecan pies are popular here. Do a search of Texas desserts recipes. You will find lots of different ideas. Although it is really a Mexico dessert, sopapillas are also very popular.

This ones just too simple but it's described as a Texas treat.

Texas Citrus Angel Food Cake Makes 4 servings

* 1 Texas Rio Star Grapefruit, sectioned * 1 Texas Orange, sectioned * 1 angel food cake

Directions

Slice cake. Top with grapefruit and orange sections and serve. Makes 6-8 servings

To everyone and anyone from Texas... does texas have ANY dessert recipies that you all are favous for???? The resaon I ask if my work is hosting a "Texas BBQ" for about 100-125 people and noone can come up with any dessert ideas other then texas sheet cake..... Any and all ideas more then welcome!!
