half a whole wheat bagel toasted. With fat free cream cheese and fat free presimmon butter i made from the Fuji persimmons off my tree when i live in California. I vary this with Apple butter or blackberry jam from the berries from my yard.

Not to mention - the vegetarians have been visiting, but did not resist bringing me peameal bacon. I've barely had any meat in a few days, so gorging on pig was a glorious feeling.

There is nothing I miss more about Canada than peameal bacon. OMG. I fucking love it.

There is, of course, no such thing as "Canadian bacon". That's an American term. Canadians call it "ham cut in a circle". It's just ham. But if something should be called Canadian bacon, it would be peameal bacon, which I cannot buy here and I love love love LOVE it. I miss it. Ohhhh damn and I ate 1.5 POUNDS of it this morning for breakfast. FUCK YEAH!
