As I said they're are cases where they are completely justified but even than they are also somewhere culpable. If one enables another to behave the way they do for years it means that they were the wrong "combo" . I often wonder had my ex married someone else if he would have not slipped so far into alcoholism, drugs and abusive behavior . By my not taking a stand very early on would he perhaps had a better chance at recovery. Mind you I am not speaking of "blame" , it isn't my fault but my own personal denial and tolerance surely played a role in the outcome. Mrs Sav
