The reason for this is the 2.3% excise tax (which will cost Stryker $100 million a year) on medical devices, as stipulated in Obamacare. Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow is outraged - OUTRAGED - at how this mysterious tax came to be and has joined with 17 Senators/Senators-elect to petition to Harry Reid to delay implementation of the tax. "The medical technology industry directly employs over 400,000 people in the United States. . . . (The) industry has received little guidance about how to comply with the tax - causing significant uncertainty and confusion for businesses," reads Stabenow's letter. "We urge you to support delaying enactment of this provision in a fiscally responsible manner." Actually, the industry knows how to comply - Total Sales of Medical Devices x 2.3% = Your Tax Due. Fun fact: Sen. Stabenow - and all 17 other Senators/Senators elect - are all Democrats.

User Details are only visible to members.	Snow tire scam: When I buy a new car I always buy two new tire rims for snows. Yesterday I went to a local National Tire Store for the two snows. I was told I have to put the two snows on the rear of my front wheel drive car. They told me if I wanted snow tires on the front wheels of a front wheel drive car I would have to buy four snow tires and put them on all four wheels. They told me it is a "new rule". I told them they are fucking crazy and left. I found out the Tire Manufactures Association started this. They want to sell four tires not two. They say it is safer. On a rear wheel drive car would they want us to put two snows on the front wheels? This is like the 16 ounce coffee we now buy 10 or 11 ounces. The half gallon ice cream is now one and a half pints. Sizes are getting smaller for same price. Tire manufactures came up with this rip off to sell more tires. They couldn't reduce the size of tires, so they screw us over anyway. I went to another tire dealer and the sold me two snow tires.

If Obama doesn't do anything disgraceful, would it be really cool if he left in disgrace? Would this a good thing for the country? for the economy? for the stability of the world? This is simply an anti-American wish, more appropriate for an al-Qaeda operative. Wishing disgrace on the office of the President -- or on anyone, for that matter -- is a fairly pathetic expression of low self-esteem.
