TOPIC: Too Many Postings Should there be a limit per user

Original Starting post for this thread:
Has anyone noticed that in most subjects a few people are making all the postings?

Some people are averaging over 20 postings a day every day for years.

That is like a full time job. Are they experts in everything? Do we have to see what little new they have to say?

What do you think? Should there be a limit per user so we improve the quality of the postings?

congrats echo!

"they" won't change. They are (in my opinion) addicted to the attention that they receive through these postings."

Thats it. You've figured me out. And here I thought I was incognito this whole time.

So now we can offset our post count with Carbon Credits..... Is that how it is done?

We're doing just fine. Eldest started high school today (trying not to feel long in the tooth about that and maybe that's what prompted me to poke my nose in here?). Spent a week deep in the canyons of Zion NP this summer. Great, hot fun. Thinking about Portillo next summer.

*expecting the OP to go off on me for derailing the thread* Oh well, a forum troll is as a forum troll does.

Ah! and with that I am just one post away from the 1000 post limit and ne'er again shall my gems be seen!

"some things just never change"

Too true, yes. This just made me nostalgic, which is appropos, considering I have not looked in here for many a day.

How are you, M? Tits & tat looking fine, I must say.

*chuckling* at this thread as I recall the post #'s for Polygrl once upon a time... and those fun times in Akron as well...

Wayne you may be right with some people, but for the most part recognition is not the same as attention. I love attention, but for the most part I do not need recognition. I always avoided the media, and giving statements to them, I would pawn it off whenever possible. But even though I don't drink I love parties and the attention of being around friends.

"You are seeking attention, not recognition."

Recognition can be a form of attention. For many years I did not have any pictures of myself on here nor did I use my real name, but people still recognized me via my profile name as someone they could approach to help them with the site.
