Thanks SA. I thought maybe that might be a possibility. It always does it right around 30mph and by 35 it quits.

I will call my mechanic and get it in to see him. I'm more a pose with cars sort of girl then a fix things sort of girl.

Belt could be worn and that would cause the screaming.

Ok question. My truck is having a "screaming" issue. Since this cold weather has hit when it gets to about 30 miles an hour it screams/shrieks/makes so sort of god awful noise like there is a cat caught in the motor. WTF??? 2001 Chevy 2500HD long bed crew cab about 130,000 miles on it. No other signs of problems other then "the scream"

Good I learned about jump starting a frozen battery when I was @ 16 when my cousin and I tried to jump start an Old Backhoe on my uncles Farm.... we also learned that day NEVER stand right next to either vehicle when trying to jump start them.

I remember when we first came to Virginia Beach in 2000 on our way home (to Ottawa) from Florida. Our 1994 Saturn had problems and we had to call a tow truck.

The AAA truck driver was blaming the battery, and we were sure that wasn't it. He was saying we need to add water, etc.... um, sealed battery, dude. They haven't had unsealed batteries in Canada in years.

The shop also (incorrectly) blamed the battery at first. They tested it and were shocked to see that it was a 1,200 CCA battery. On a 4-cylinder Saturn.

"Dude - that thing has to work when it's -40". The look of horror on their faces was priceless.
