HFT, I never knew conversations between adults were a competition. The only conversations I had that were competitions were with my kids when they were 6 and 7 years old.

rdy, Only Liberals ego's get in the way. When ever I get into a conversation with a Liberal and they don't like loosing the conversation on the merits of the issues they usually turn and run away. Liberals mind are made up, so don't confuse them with facts.

That's the one reason I've gone out to breakfast and lunch and always stop at my favorite Happy Hour bar where I can find real people to talk to and discuss the issues of the day with people. Funny how when you talk to real people their ego's and keyboards never get in the way.

I for one totally miss the themed threads like the Den. This place has been a diner, dive bar, whorehouse, vampire convent, among other things. Some great postings are to be read among its pages. The *professor was a regular each morning when he was posting. Frank always stocked the pantry with some very descriptive imaginary breakfast foods too. Why in the world some peope found that taunting fonder has always been beyond me.

On the other hand it takes cliches to make themed threads productive or destructive it seems.

I saw that in last weeks coupons from the store that we get in the mail. I thought of Mr. Twinkie.

lol.... re-reading that it reads kinda funny. I didn't want to use his name for PC reasons although my gut feeling says he wouldn't care in this instance.

I do miss the imaginary hangouts that used to be in the threads. T complaining about them and imaginary stuff was a really funny read too. What a F'N Meany he is. Who complains about being civil and good will towards their fellow swingers ?

Chocolate cover Twinkies Wohooooooo ....I see a party in the makings .

According to FoodBeast, chocolate-covered Twinkies , also known as the Chocodile, are back with a vengeance. While these sweet, cream-filled treats were once only sold on the West Coast, we are all now just as lucky as our California brethren. Hostess is set to release bit-sized versions of chocolate-encased goodness in variations with strawberry, banana, and original cream filling, giving the children in all of us a chance to celebrate.

OK, so it's Saturday in the middle of a 3 day weekend, I hope everyone had a Great Independence Day. A lot of the east coast got washed out on Fri. But. the sun was out at the Jersey shore around 3ish and we were able to see some local fireworks and spent the day with family and friends. Great weekend so far and tomorrow looks like the same. plenty of BBQs with lots of burgers and dogs, ribs and brisket with burnt ends and lots of home made BBQ sauce to soak everything up.

But remember the take some time during this weekend to give thanks for our men and women in uniform who continue to protect our freedoms to enjoy our lives as a free people. Tonight it's ice cream with the grand kids and breakfast with my almost 17 year old oldest granddaughter. Have a Great Night and will see everyone tomorrow some time. God, I can't believe I have a 17 year old granddaughter, I'm to young and good looking. Please don't hurt yourselves ROFLYFAO.
