and yet another reason to dread the 15th...and one I had almost forgotten about, thanks looking, thank goodness I will have a bookkeeper soon!

good you got it all wrong, Those returns are like magic ATM's for some...
My returns are completed, I just have to drop off a check to the accountant to file them. This year was like kissing my sister if I had one.... We were lucky enough to have a little comming back from the state, (Our retirement is NYS tax-exempt , and they taxed a portion of our Retro monies) that will offset what I have to pay for filing the returns. Fed was a wash, I think I have @ 75.00 comming back... I don't like the 15th because My first quarterly is due then..... |

I know I'm dreading the 15th this year. And yes it is because of taxes.
However the excitement of the 20th makes it all better! |

Not enjoying does not necessarily mean worried.
I am well aware of tax "game" and it's rules. IMO, it's better to owe taxes on that day than to expect a refund. Unless of course you are one of those people who relies on overpaying the IRS so that you can get some cash the following year. As in "I can't manage money very well, so I need to give Uncle Sam an interest free loan instead of managing my money." Cash management hint: "least and latest". I didn't say why I wouldn't enjoy the 15th, and I certainly didn't say it was because of taxes. |
