There, you see the gun owners want to censor news papers and eliminate the free press. They want to take away our free speech 1st amement rights so they can have theirs. Guess the GOP thinks they might be able to win the next election. With their attitudes I wonder if they really think they'll win any election, well maybe they can win the dog catcher election in 5 years.

Tweedle worries not as to why you have chosen to protect your self, he just wants to know so he knows. Remember it is his right as he claims.
I wonder how he would feel if every permit holder requested a foil request seeking such information of the persons seeking such releases? |

Just as an aside, I am a registered gun owner, the reason is I am a retired law enforcement officer, and I have a concealed carry permit as a result of my career. Your publication of my home address could potentially subject members of my family to harm by way of the many individuals I have had a hand in putting away for their crimes over the years. I know some of them would just love to know where I am today. Think before you act, there are often many consequences you may not have thought of in your zeal.

Just curious, what is the reason you want this information, you never seemed to say your purpose. Is it idle curiosity or a desire to interject yourself into others personal lives and interests. What purpose does your acquiring this information serve you or anyone else?

I wonder if the newspaper could be held liable or responsible if a firearm ends up stolen because of this information they posted?
Would they share in the blame if a firearm is stolen and used in a crime where an innocent person is killed with said firearm? |

The difference Tweedle,
When a person buys a firearm legally, and has legal intentions what is the issue? Where as you state you have no reason to possess, yet in another post you insinuate through a passive threat of misguided intention. there in lies the difference , you already have a preconcieved intent of less than desireable reason for obtaining such information. Thus your obsession shows. |

Mrs. Sav. I can use the same argument for buying guns...."just because you can doesn't mean you should".
So now we have the same solution for opposite thinking. Who wins now. |

With the gun owner list and addresses you can input them into google maps, and print out maps of houses where guns are not owned. Share it with Gannett who then publishes it.
Gun sales will skyrocket. Although most criminals don't read, defenseless home owners do. |
