Is anyone watching Hannibal? I started season 1 and felt like I have been missing something through out most of the season. Not sure if I need to read the series of books first then watch the show. How is season 2? Due to our jobs we catch most shows when the series is released on DVD, thanks for Masters of Sex updates. You guys have me chomping at the bit for season 2.

ff: Fruitvale Station is showing on Showtime. It's a tough movie to watch. I first saw it in the theater when it was released a summer or so ago. It is a true story. If you ever check it out, let me know what you think.

My wife likes SOA, I loathe the show. The whole premise of the show is based around violence. On top of that it is so unrealistic it should be a comedy.

That's a haunting movie. The images really stick with you.

ff: Thankfully, I don't have that channel. I don't need one more thing to watch. Although I did see a really good movie yesterday...it's an oldie...The Piano. I loved it.

Black Jesus on Adult Swim is pretty funny if you are a fan of Charlie Murphy and Corey Holcomb humor.

I watched a few minutes of SOA to see what the hype was about. I don't get it either. I guess it just takes a lot more to draw me in, or I'm really, really demented, but American Horror Story has kept me interested.

I've never watched that one either. I guess I prefer more hardcore stuff. Same as I like my porn. LOL

i watched about 5 mins of the very first episode of SOA, turned it off and never went back. it's a shame, but they missed an opportunity here. if this show had come from showtime or hbo, they might have had the opportunity to at least approach some level of realism in that world. it has done well, but with the right network, it could have blown the doors off the tv world, "sopranos" style. as is, it's a silly little pg-13 soap about doods on bikes. real bikers find it absolutely hilarious.

some shows can work for vanilla tv, others just can't.

I started watching SOA on netflixs as a trend mill show then got hooked once I was caught up. Myself not being a avid reader I can only guess it's just like a reader gets committed to a book. Once one starts they want to finish it to see how it ends. I couldn't imagine starting a book and just walking away from it after investing the time to begin with.

I'm pretty much like that with any show I commit to, I like to watch the characters develop, that takes time. At the moment being the final season of the show it's a who the hell is going to die next and how. On the after show I found out that The character that was "Otto is the head writer of the show, I didn't know that before. I knew he was married to Katey Sagal but had never seen a picture of him before. The writing of SOA is dark and explores the underbelly of society that's interesting, those fans that buy the shirts and crap I don't get in the least bit. I would feel like a real schmuck to wear a fictional biker club anything. I literally do laugh out loud when I see someone wearing SOA gear.

Biker types that complain that the show isn't anything like being in a MC, well DUH, it's a TV show dingbats. Reality check TV doctors are not real doctors either....lol

I myself find game shows and cooking shows boring and how anyone can watch any shopping network show is beyond me.
