"AL Davis has got to be the Worst Owner in the NFL History." ---------------------------------------------------------------- Totally disagree and I have never been a Raiders fan or supporter. Al Davis has left a long a distinguished legacy. From several encyclopedia's: "With Davis in control, the Raiders became one of the most successful teams in all of professional sports. From 1967 to 1985 the team won 13 division championships, one AFL championship (1967), three Super Bowls (XI, XV, and XVIII) and made 15 playoff appearances. Though the Raiders' fortunes have waned in recent years, having gone 24–72 from 2003 to 2008, they are one of two teams to play in the Super Bowl in four different decades, with the other being the Pittsburgh Steelers. Along with appearing in five Super Bowls, the Raiders have also played in their Conference/League Championship Game in every decade since their inception." Now if one was to say that based on his diminished health and the teams performance over the last 9 years that the game has passed him by and he is no longer effective, I might agree. However, judging his and the Raiders entire history Davis is bound for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I thought that he had them heading in the right direction and didn't really see the point in making a coaching change. He didn't knock out Al Davis too, did he? Also, I think that even though he's an absolute laughingstock these days, Al Davis is still not the worst owner in the league. That distinction has been Dan Snyder's, and his alone, for a good 10 or 11 years now. Al has an excuse to be crazy and make terrible decisions now....he's old. But even with that, he's still one of the 4 or 5 most important people in NFL history. What has a guy like Snyder contributed to the league? Not a damn thing except one of the worst stadium in the NFL, high ticket prices and a lot of free agency blunders. Davis is an OG and a legend around the league. Sucks to see him running the franchise into the ground, but you know what they say - "The track suit giveth, the track suit taketh away." -Tony

User Details are only visible to members.	Antonio Gates is on the PUP and Vincent Jackson still isn't happy. They also lost Sproles in FA. I suspect they'll be about the same as they are most every year..... a game or 2 above .500, Phillip Rivers throws for 4000 yds and they quietly exit the playoffs. I followed them quite a bit when they had LT but began losing interest when they (a) fired Marty after going 14-2, (b) hired Norv Turner, (c) when Phillip Rivers turned into a whiney little girl and (d) after they let LT go. Now they're just like any other AFC team to me....meaningless.

User Details are only visible to members.	Oh yeah, how the hell did I forget to mention that the Eagles drafted Napoleon Dynamite to be their kicker. Granted, I think he ended up being the most accurate kicker in NCAA history, but there's a huge difference between kicking in college and kicking in the Meadowlands, for example, in Dec or Jan.

User Details are only visible to members.	I hate the hype to because it's very rare that a team lives up to it. I felt the same way about the Phils back in February.....still do, actually. But the hype is somewhat deserved for the Eagles. They've got a trio of pro-bowl corners now, brought in a solid run stuffing, penetrating DT and made a smart choice in Vince Young to back up Vick since they are the same style QB. Also saw that they added Ronnie Brown today as well which is nice RB depth. That said, with all the improvements they've made, I'd feel a lot better if they ever decide to legitimately address the LB position (it's only been about 8 years since they've had a respectable group in the middle of the D) and picked up some o-line depth. Oh, and they need to cake off Desean too.

I think the patriots and the packers are the teams to beat. Wait til vick gets crunched and see if young can pull it off. I hate the hype. Rick
