He's only 32 and plays in a league that puts a premium on QB safety. He's got at least 5 yrs left as a starter.

Sanchez has been given every opportunity to succeed, which is what most teams do with their 1st round picks. He hasn't been benched yet because (a) they wanted to give him every possible chance to improve and (b) they had crap for backups.
You don't spend a 2nd rd pick on a QB if you aren't ready to pull the plug on your starter. Maybe Sanchez responds and ups his play, but I doubt it. Injury to Eli is the only way Nassib starts for the Giants anytime in the next 5 yrs. T |

Let me tell you my thoughts... for whatever reason, Sanchez can do no wrong in the eyes of either the Jets coaching staff or the Jets organization. I also think he is going to steep up BIG this year. Eli is high on my most likely to end up on the IRL next season...When it happens, that's when Ryan gets his shot |

If they start the same week then it's just a push. The bet is who will start 1st. Smith sucks as a QB and has crap to throw to. Nassib has a solid o-line and pro bowl receivers. Nassib very well could be the better pro, but he's not starting for Sheli before Smith overtakes Sanchez. In fact, id put money on Nassib having a better debut than Smith simply because the Giants have good players and the Jets dont. Injury is the only equalizer, but I won't try and make that a negating factor.
