Check out "A football life; 1995 Browns". All the pieces were in place for Cleveland to be the combination of the NE Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens before Art Modell took the money and ran. From the front office to the coaching staff to the players, even Belichick says they were on the verge of greatness but Modell blew it up for personal profit.

Since then the organization has been about as dysfunctional as any pro sport franchise in history.

Probably one reason I prefer college football, the NFL should have never allowed that to happen.

Scamp You may be on to something. The Browns are the one franchise that fired Belichick ... go figure.

The Pats have had a revolving door at receiver and other than Randy Moss and maybe Wes Welker, there haven't a lot of great receivers during Brady's career. I just googled and he has thrown TDs to 63 different receivers!

As for the Belichick/Brady question, we have seen Belichick win when Brady has been hurt or suspended and he isn't afraid to let go of talented players to build a better "team" so I believe he would be a success without Brady. Since we have never seen Brady play under another coach, I can't say the same for Brady but his work ethic and passion makes me think he would be successful anywhere. Except maybe Cleveland. Even my Browns probably could have ruined his career.

Good question Fred . I think Brady success is that he always had some great receivers, and in general the Pats always had a great all around team .

It all falls back to the same question. Would Brady be as successful without his coach and would his coach be as successful without Brady.

Brady is at him best ,when his back is against the wall , I think he is very cool cat when he is under fire ,that's what makes him so DAM GOOD ,and besides he is a very good looking man too boot

I have a dozen reasons to hate him starting with where he played college ball but damn, can't deny he is among the all time greats. What I do like is he works his ass off to stay at that high level and doesn't just rely on raw talent.

There is no doubt in my mind that he is a great one!
