With Gronkowsi having surgery after surgery, maybe they're looking at Tebow in order to still run 2 TE sets with Hernandez and not sacrifice as much athleticism at the TE position. I still don't think he makes the team, but we'll see. T

They don't take kindly to media hype or terrible play and Tebow brings both. It's gotta be Belichick just wanting to see if he can turn chicken shit into chicken salad. I can't imagine there's anyway he doesn't get cut in camp. T

User Details are only visible to members.	That's good. Of the 4, Magic was the best passer, Bird the strongest rebounder, Jordan the superior scorer. LeBron is #2 in all three categories. Players as good as these can always contribute plenty, even when their shot isn't falling. Jordan and LeBron are among the best defensive players of their eras, while Bird and Magic were matadors on that end.

Didn't have a great night overall, but when the Heat went on that 33-5 run between the 3rd and 4th qtrs, LBJ scored 11 pts, picked up a few assists and rebounds and had a monster block on Splitter, denying him and easy dunk. Just goes to show that even when he isn't having his best game, even just a small spurt of greatness from him can completely change the complexion of an entire game. And even prior to that run when he was having a poor offensive night, he was still finding open guys for baskets, defending well, rebounding the ball and blocked a few shots. He's one of the very few players I've seen in my lifetime who can keep his team in the game without making significant contributions on the offensive end. T

Bad calls go on the ref's record." NBA refs are graded tougher than any other league official besides the NFL. MLB umps are probably scrutinized just as much but their union is the strongest (for officials) in any sport, so even when they do a bad job, the union is usually able to bail them out and get them playoff opportunities. "My biggest beef might be the opposite of what you've stated: At the end of a close game, they're apt to 'swallow the whistle' and not call a foul or infraction that they'd call any other time. " Mine too. But the NBA in general (players, coaches, league office) seems to prefer it that way. I'm of the opinion that if you call it in the 1st quarter, you should call it with 30 seconds left. "A well-officiated game is one in which you don't even notice the officials." Agree completely with this. Unfortunately there are a few refs in the NBA and a few umps in MLB who don't see it that way and like to overstep their bounds. T

I also had nearly a dozen friends fly out to attend the game. Same goes for a few of the Philly natives I knew who were living out there at the time. But you're missing the point..... There are dozens, if not maybe even more than a hundred, "tailgate travel agencies" for NFL teams. Most of them are fan-run groups that organize road games. They reserve blocks of rooms at hotels, game tickets, charter bus to/from the game and put on a pre-game tailgate. It's become such a big business that individual teams are now starting to sell away game packages themselves. The NBA doesn't have anything even remotely close to the same level of fan devotion and willingness to travel with their team as the NFL does. T
