I held out as long as I could after watching Hey Bartender and being enticed by Tales of the Cocktails clips so I whipped up a nice tall drink made with Grey Goose vodka, Svedka orange flavored vodka and cranapple juice. It was so, so cold and refreshing.

Breezed in and out of our three today. Overcast and a bit cooler, too. Years ago, I was here two weeks out of every month and have led more than my share of those evening walking tours. Of course, a few times the monuments in question were at Camelot and at Nathan's, which is no longer at Wisconsin & M. I would have been all over the forced march idea, but the kid's a tender foot.

Tomorrow, Tomb of the Unknowns, eternal flame, Holocaust, and back to the mall.

BT- We were in DC last week. The museums were so crowded but the weather was perfect- breezy and not horrifically hot. Our Italian guest loved the "zero zero seven" museum and the forced march/nighttime monument tour I led. At least I'm choosing to believe she loved that part.

I'm drinking bourbon with an ice cube.

BLT, no need to yell.

Though I didn't read your post, I'll comment anyway. Yes, I have attended some of those events. Some, while in the trade, and others, while not. The events can be a lot of fun and the program changes annually.

OT: I'm currently enjoying a cup of green tea. I had no idea that Celestial packaged tea for use in a Kuerig. Not too shabby.

A fine, crisp Miller Lite after my museum OD today. Spy, News, Natural History, and a phallic-shaped monument. Contemplating dinner, but I'll post that selection elsewhere.

Cheers!
