A more funky Elvis shrine is Graceland Too, in a small town between Tupelo and Memphis. It's in a big old house cluttered with all kinds of Elvis memorabilia, and run by a sort of creepy dood who lives and breathes everything Elvis, and will expect you to be the same. He has been known to open the place at any hour of the night, and gives personally guided tours. I recommend going at 3:00 a.m., accompanied by a group of inebriated friends.

I've been to Graceland twice, walked with my feet 10' off of Beale. Loves me some Memphis. Especially in May. I can almost smell the BBQ from here............ |

sb...I'm never quite sure where the wind will blow me next month. I travel a lot for work. The last time I was in MS, I was on an Elvis kick visiting Tupelo. Didn't get to see a whole lot else besides highway.
But it seems as though now I have a pretty good reason to "swing" by again. :) |
