User Details are only visible to members.	I had a fabulous day today. At 10am we were loading my friend's suv with trays of food. We then delivered them to various parking locations around Monmouth county where linemen and electricians with their work trucks from all over the USA, wait for work orders from the local electric companies. My gosh, they're here from all over, Wisconsin, Alabama, Oregon, Ohio, San Antonio. They are such nice people. An electrician from SA has never seen snow before! he was so excited at the prospect of actually seeing it :). Quite the rewarding experience indeed! It's been snowing for a while here, wind is picking up as well. Some places have lost power again. Maybe we'll be spared this time? maybe not. Hopefully the damage isn't too bad.

User Details are only visible to members.	Staarted as rain and wind and turned to wet slussssssy snow. Sniowing hard now and has already covered the grass and the streets and driveways. Reports of power outages in areas that just got power back. Very frustrating......

User Details are only visible to members.	Things are settling down. We don't have power. But the generator is keeping us going. A lot of controversy about why JCP&L is so sluggish in it's response. My folks are starting to gain some normalcy as well. Instead of going to them, I volunteered to help out with our town's consolidation efforts, we were mandated by OEM to go from 3 relief stations, to one. Going to head out to Keansburg tomorrow, deliver some food to the local Police Dept. We have a friend that is a personal chef, she gathers foods from restaurants, prepares the foods and distributes it to needy areas. I'm going to venture out with her tomorrow and help out a little. Since schools will remain closed until Monday of next week, my little guy will be helping out as well.

User Details are only visible to members.	50% of the affected areas are still without power. Many areas still without water. My poor brother, with 3 babies, in South Amboy. They have a generator but no electricity and no water. Bad news, a storm coming, not a Sandy but seems to be following the same path. We dont need a drizzle or a breeze at this point! Seduction has me blocked but if shes in Colts Neck, they have no electricity or water and its a solid week now! I hope she and her family well. I also haven't seen or heard from Shelikesgurls? Is she safe? I know shes in that windy area! ACK! Either way I hope everyone well, been a long week and I dont see an ending anytime soon. BE well, joan*

I'm going to hear from my SIL in a bit, I will email you if she sees that mid Baldwin is with power yet.... as of yesterday, the homes behind her were still on generators. I got 4 boxes of warm clothes out today to Long Beach! I think I might have gotten carried away and sent most of our winter clothes. Hubby was looking for a sweatshirt this morning. um.. well... I don't know where it could've gone. :-/ It was 17 degrees here early this morning, family in NY is usually about 10 degrees warmer. It doesn't have to take long, even if it's a bag here and there. If you haven't done so yet ......Please go through your closets and send some warm clothes!! And bug people you see to do the same. I'm asking people I talk to in NY and NJ to give me addresses of their local churches or Aid stations, if they're accepting donations, I'm just sending them. It's all I can do from so far away.

User Details are only visible to members.	Just since yesterday tractor trailers filled with relief supplies from states including SC, Tenn, & PA arrived. A small SC community of 500 people remembered the help they received after 1990's Hurricane Hugo and sent a trailer filled with supplies.. All of those impacted by Sandy extend their thankfulness... Hopefully, tomorrow's Nor'easter will not make recovery even MORE challenging... V
